Now you can add CPS:  Cost per second into the complex world of digital buying. Over the past 6 months, Sled Mobile has been selling their mobile video ads on a cost per second model.  Also, recently they released a report that :9 second video ads on mobile are more effective than the traditional :30.  A couple of thoughts. First, I actually think the CPS model makes sense and limits some of the issues digital video faces when it comes to viewability and completion rates.  Secondly, I don’t see much value in their recent report since every marketer knows that :15 seconds or less is the ideal video length for mobile (see Vine and Instagram).  Lastly, why is Sled Mobile the only vendor publishing this model, I would love to see more buying consistency across the board (Hello TubeMogul, Tremor and Google).
